The British boxer prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight-bout fight which will be shown in real-time on the streaming platform.
Briton Anthony Joshua declared he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "defeat" his opponent as the combatants confronted each other to build hype for next month's bout.
Ex twice world title holder Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, on paper, a mammoth mismatch - at Miami's Kaseya Center on 19 December.
Boxer's Mentality
"I plan to damage his features and hurt his body. I'm here to prove I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35 years old, said.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I'm going to seriously aim to injure him. That's what I want to do."
Respectful Exchange
In spite of these statements, a calm Anthony Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - usually recognized for his theatrics - shared friendly words and kept it respectful with each other.
Jake Paul instead criticized former Joshua opponent Francis Ngannou and called him "a joke" after the Cameroonian rejected a bout proposal.
Targeting Tyson Fury
Joshua, in the meantime, criticized UK opponent Tyson Fury - and refused a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a victory for Paul.
"[Paul] outshines Tyson Fury - he's present here," the boxer stated.
"I give him credit for that."
Legitimate Opponent
In spite of declaring he will hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua declined to comment unfavorably about his opponent's boxing ability.
"Jake is a serious fighter," he stated.
Jake Paul's History
Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has primarily fought mixed martial artists or faded names since entering professional boxing.
He was defeated by Briton Fury in 2023.
Financial Attraction
However, the inexperienced fighter remains one of boxing's greatest financial successes, regularly earning substantial paydays.
Prediction and Belief
The 28-year-old anticipated a stoppage in the fourth or fifth round and stated he would prevent the long-awaited match between Joshua and Fury, which is reportedly in the works for 2026.
"It will be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul declared.
Size Disparity
As both boxers participated in the traditional face-off, with their height and weight contrast evident, it highlighted just how unlikely this whole event is - and how amazing it is that the bout is truly going ahead.
